Created exclusively for Southern Touch by a French perfumer, St. Augustine’s Forever Young is a light, floral fragrance with invigorating topnotes of citrus, cassis, and a touch of green nuances. An alluring all-natural combination of classic white florals—jasmine, rose, lily of the valley, and Karo-Karoundé—is tempered by woodsy, musky accords for warmth and depth.

With its beautiful, four-color package depicting imagery of St. Augustine and the mythical Fountain of Youth, the fragrance is a perfect gift for anyone who loves perfume or as a remembrance of a visit to this magical city located on Florida’s northeast coast.

Now 10 years young, St. Augustine’s Forever Young has become a favorite scent for hundreds of customers who have purchased it over the years. “We have customers who call us every year or who make a pilgrimage to St. Augustine to purchase the fragrance,” says Wendy Philcox, the creator of the fragrance.

A former Miss St. Augustine, Wendy and her husband, Chris, came up with the idea for the perfume during a sailing trip through the Florida Keys and Bahamas. The couple researched the project along the way. They worked with an Atlanta company to develop the fragrance and enlisted the talent of local artist Lynn Piagno to design the packaging, which depicts imagery of St. Augustine and the mythical Fountain of Youth.

Shortly after they launched the fragrance, St. Augustine’s Forever Young eau de parfum was selected as one of only 20 products featured from the state of Florida on QVC’s “50 in 50 Tour”, broadcast from Cypress Gardens in February of 1995.

“We sold 800 bottles in 8 minutes,” says Chris, which certainly gave the budding business a big boost. “Some of those customers continue to order the fragrance 10 years later,” Wendy adds.

Forever Young’s Worldwide Launch
Sold through area shops and boutiques in St. Augustine thus far, St. Augustine’s Forever Young has only been available on a limited basis. But with the advent of www.southerntouchfragrances.com, now you can order the fragrance from anywhere in the world. “Our new web site is the next, logical step for the fragrance collection,” says Wendy. “We look forward to being able to reach many more customers who we know will fall in love with this beautiful and unique fragrance.”
